Back in the dirt!

We have been busy, busy, busy! I am thrilled to be back in the dirt planting away. We lucked out and found a great new Troy Built Pony, which is already making things much easier and faster. Our friend Wayne had a trench implement that fit right on the new Pony and we were able to plant potatoes in no time. This sure beat my hand dug potato trenches from last year! We are becoming much more efficient and organized. This gardening thing is SO fulfilling.

Grumpy Grizzly Farms: Breaking Ground for 2013

After many weeks of wet weather and saturated ground, we finally had a window of opportunity to prep the garden.  We are SO very blessed with friends that will drop everything to come lend us a hand.  We were able to work the entire garden space, add last years compost back into ground, remove fence rows from last year, and reorganize our drip irrigation system.  Such a great day!  Thank you to Bob Reeves and his grandson RJ, our friend Wayne and his son Nick, who was in charge of the tractor, and our brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Kim Martin.  Grumpy Grizzly Farms will be open before you know it!
